Institute's Social Responsibility Initiatives (ISRI)

'The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn' - Alvin Toffler
In our efforts to meet this daunting task of creating 'managers' and not simple graduates, we have realized that mere conventional pedagogy doesn't suffice the need. So we have continuously tried in several ways to find newer and innovative ways of creating a pool of knowledge among our students as well as our faculty members. We also aim to educate our students in values along with knowledge so that tomorrow's business would be in the hands of able, sound and socially responsible managers.
To this aim we have proudly launched a new initiative called ISRI which aspires to sensitize our students towards various issues that have engulfed our society precariously. Today when the world has embarked on strategies like finding business opportunities at the Bottom of Pyramid and globalization, it is very important for tomorrow's managers to know about the various issues they need to encounter in the future when they have to work with a diverse workforce in a multi-cultural environment.
What is ISRI ?
ISRI is a project envisaged to make students aware of grass root realities of people and communities belonging to the deprived, marginalized and differently able sections of the society.
This is a group work which aims to foster the spirit of team work among our students and to help them understand the challenges in working with different kind of people in a group. ISRI will also help students gauge their personal ability to conceptualize, design, and implement projects and activities.

Spandan 2010
"All work and no play makes Jack adull boy" is an old precept. We believe in a step beyond this precept. We believe that "Jack has all the talent but he needs a platform to show case it". The institute in order to provide a vent to ooze out the latent talent among the students organizes SPANDAN every year. It is a cultural fest full of energy, enthusiasm, activities, rhythm, and fun. The best part of Spandan is that it is celebrated as an in-house event and so all the students : the shy and smart participate with utmost zeal and enthusiasm and create abuzz on the campus. |
