Ahmedabad University, which came into existence with the enactment of the Private University Bill by the Government of Gujarat in July, 2009, has been promoted by Ahmedabad Education Society (AES). Established in 1935 with inspiration from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Deputy Prime Minister of India, AES has remained a benchmark for high academic and disciplinary standards for more than seven decades. Since its inception it has persistently attained its objective of spreading the light of knowledge and wisdom in diverse strata of academics. Ahmedabad University has entered into collaboration with the the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK, for the design and the development of its Executive MBA program targeted at Owner Managed Industries. This one year program will be offered by the School of Management. Our objective is to harness their insights in design and development and the experience of their globally recognized faculty. The program will be designed jointly. Under this agreement, our faculty will also be trained at JBS, Cambridge. Our students will have an opportunity to study at JBS for a short period as part of the EMBA Program. Some of the innovative and original course material will be developed jointly by thet faculty of the two institutions. The agreement has flexibility for long term access to the course material and faculty training.
The University of Cambridge, which completes its 8th centenary this year, is ranked as one of the best universities in the world. It established the Judge Business School in 1989, which now offers several programs, including a one year MBA Program and an Executive MBA Program for practicing managers.
